We fell in love with Seoul, South Korea instantly. It was a city we knew little about before going and one that left us wanting more. And lucky for us we missed our flight home thanks to searching for Korean BBQ and had another day in Seoul.
The Gyeongbokgung Palace is a beautiful royal palace complete with gorgeous buildings and gardens to boot. This will not disappoint.

View from Seoul Tower
Seoul Tower was a must for us! We had just gotten engaged a month prior to this trip and we had our hearts set on going to Seoul Tower known for their love locks and the gorgeous views. We bought a lock at the tower to write our love note and leave it behind to come back to when we return. After leaving your love lock, venture up to the top of the tower to observe the view over Seoul and grab a drink if you wish! There’s an amazing virtual art exhibit to get trippy with before you head up, too!

Ikseon-Dong District
The Ikseon Dong Districtwas one of our favorite areas. It’s a great place to get lost. We stayed near here and loved this location! This is the heart of Seoul with alleys full of local goods, tea houses, delicious food and shopping for days with adorable umbrella lined alley ways.
Hongdae
Hongdae is a great place to bar hop! This area was bustling with people hopping in and out of bars, and hanging at plastic chairs and tables lining the streets scarfing down street food and alcoholic beverages. We only stayed for a bit for a beer and pretzel- I was too wiped to party but if you have the energy go for it! It looked like a blast- a night to remember!
Namdaemun Market
The Namdaemum Market is the largest traditional Korean market. It is a great place to look for souvenirs.
Cat Cafe
Be sure to stop at one of the many cat cafes and enjoy some time petting and playing with some sweet cats.
Although we were not in Seoul long it left a spot in our traveler’s hearts and we will be back again soon. Wander the streets of Seoul and do so for as long as you can, there is something so special about Seoul- maybe it is a mix between its sweetness, quirkiness, and ruggedness that makes it such a true travel experience. Happy Travels!
